Classroom Guidelines:
- Common Sense!!!

Integrity!!! Integrity is adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.  Integrity is the state of being whole, entire or undiminished.

You will be graded on daily work, participation, quizzes, tests, papers, and journaling
- Anything I do or say is subject to be included on a test, quiz, homework, etc.
-  Points – everything you do in class will be subject to be worth a certain amount of points. Papers may be given a letter grade. Those points will accumulate and then be turned into a percentage.  Letter grades will be figured into the percentage.

 

100% - 98% = A+                                                                 79% - 77% = C+

97% - 94% = A                                                                      76% - 74% = C

93% - 90% = A-                                                                    73% - 70 % = C-

89% - 87% = B+                                                                    69% - 67% = D+

86% - 84% = B                                                                      66% - 64% = D

83% - 80% = B-                                                                     63% - 60% = D-

                                                                                                59% and below = F

 

-          Late homework – for each day that your homework is late, your final grade on that assignment will decrease in points or letter grade.

-          Three tardy days/Trimester = Detention

-          Other discipline matters will result in either staying after in my classroom, detention or a meeting with Mr. Flood.

-          Participation

-          Service Hours

-          Prayer leaders

-          Journaling

-          Textbooks, Bibles, notebook and writing utensils are required for every class 

 

Goals:

-          Learn about the history of the Israelites from the time of Abraham to Christ.

-          You will be introduced to the geography, politics, and socialization of Ancient Near East.

-          Learn about the religious studies of Scripture and God’s Word.

-          Learn how the Israelites were called to faith and justice and compare that to “Our Call to Faith and Justice.”

-          Learn about any current events, liturgical events and/or prayers related to Catholicism.

-          Identify what religion means to you and who Jesus is in your life.
