Minutes from the February Bulldog Parent Club Meeting

- Reviewed draft of the charter. A few minor modifications need to be made. When changes are made volunteers will be needed to fill positions.
- Budget—What do other schools do with money they have from these types of events? Mrs. Cassidy indicated that we should utilize Saint Bernard’s account person, Mrs. Thompson, and run any funds through the school. They would be able to keep our funds separate from other school accounts.
- The Parents Club meetings were not noted at the school website. Need to make sure our meeting times/date is published as many places as possible.
- Minutes from January meeting did not get to Kathy Jackson. They will be printed and re-sent to Mrs. Jackson along with the February minutes.
- T-Shirts-/Buttons to identify ourselves. Decided on long sleeve t-shirt with a catchy phrase on the back. Everyone to bring an idea for a phrase to the next meeting. Rita Albert in the school store would coordinate ordering the shirts.
- Location of meeting needs to be set. It was decided to meet in the school library.
- Snacks What is a meeting without snacks? All attending will bring their own beverage. Snacks will be provided by club members on a rotating basis. Carol Bernaciak graciously volunteered to bring snacks to the next meeting.
- Holly Klug will advertise for the next meeting.
- Name tags. Andrea Shelton will have name tags made for parents.
The remainder of the meeting was spent working out the details of the “Activity Night”
A few notes: Students from other schools may attend if they have shadowed at Saint Bernard’s. Students attending will receive a “Free Dress Pass”. A sign in sheet will be provided by Joan. Once students are in, they are in. Volunteers will arrive around 6 pm to set up.
The next meeting is to be March 5 in the High School Library. The time is to be determined. |
