Life Sciences - Mr. Patrick Puskala

Witness the Amazing Complexity of the Living World!

This webpage has been designed as a source of information for students, parents, and prospective families who are interested in learning more about our classes. At Saint Bernard's, students have an array of class choices in the life science field. All students are required to take Biology, the focus of which is to introduce individuals to both the different fields of life science and how we understand the processes of living organisms. Also offered are courses in Ecology, Anatomy & Physiology, and AP Biology. These classes offer a more robust knowledge in specific areas in the life science field for those students who are particularly interested in a certain topic.

All of the life science classes taught at Saint Bernard's School have the following objectives:

* Learn how to carry out the scientific process

* Develop observation and problem-solving skills

* Interpret and understand scientific information

* Understand how science plays a role in everyday life

* Use writing to clearly express scientific ideas

* Engage in cooperative learning to improve group skills

* Enhance learning through the use of technology

It is my hope that participating in life science classes at Saint Bernard's School will ensure that our graduates are insightful, informed, and inquiring citizens of an increasingly high-tech world.

The other purpose of this page is as a source of information about my different classes. The labels on the right side of the screen are links to information about each of my classes. Students will be able to check this information anywhere that they can get access to the internet. Below, you can find links to the syllabii of all of the life science classes.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions concerning your child's progress, or any general questions about our program. Call me at 651-489-1338 or send me an e-mail.
