What's In The Library?
The Grade School Library is fully automated with a computer check-out system and four catalog search stations. The Library contains approximately 7,000 volumes, including books, videos, and audio-visual materials.

Hours of Operation:

The Grade School Library is open daily from 7:15 am to 3:30 pm. Library closes at 1 pm on early dismissal days. Library closes at 2:55 pm on Wednesdays when there are staff meetings.

Library Classes:

Students are scheduled for weekly visits to the library. During this time, they are taught media skills and introduced to different genres. Students have additional opportunities to check-out books before and after school. Students should know what day their class comes to media and return their library materials on time each week. Classes are scheduled as follows:

Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade – Friday

3rd grade and 4th grade – Thursday

5th grade – Wednesday

Checkout Policy:

Library books are checked out for a period of one week, after which they become overdue. There is no fine for overdue materials, but students will not be permitted to check out new materials until overdue items are returned.

Lost/Damaged Books:

Students will be charged for the replacement cost of lost of damaged books, and check-out privileges will be suspended until charges are reconciled.

Adult Volunteers:

Adult volunteers are always wanted and needed in the Library. If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by the Library or call the school.
