You and your partners will be tour guides for the class on our trip around the world. For your selected country, you will need to plan a 7-day trip, and provide the following information:
1. If we were to travel to your country this week, what should we pack?
- What type of clothing would be best for their climate?
- What other things might we need while we are there?
- What type of shoes should we pack? (what is the terrain like?)
2. What type of money do we need? What is the current exchange rate?
3. What is the time difference?
4. Which airline has the cheapest airfare to your country if we plan to travel next month?
5. If we could stay at any hotel, which would you recommend? How much does it cost? (7 night stay)
6. What vaccinations, visas, or special arrangements do we need to make before traveling?
7. Are there any travel warnings in effect for your country?
- What should we look out for?
- Is there any political instability? If so, why?
8. What will be the biggest changes for us while we are there?
- Cultural, religious, political, or economic differences?
9. Prepare an itinerary (schedule) for this trip. What are the “must-see” sites? What cities will we visit? How will we get between cities?
10. Provide any maps that will be useful for our trip.
You can also provide any other information that you think will be important for us if we were to travel to your country.
When you present this information, please be creative! You can do a game, activity, cooking lesson, or whatever else you can think of to help us learn the language, culture, lifestyle, or anything else of interest for your country.
You will need to turn in a typed itinerary for our trip, along with the above information.
