Library Dedication
Saint Bernard’s School is proud to announce the dedication of the John B. O'Neill Memorial Library. John O'Neill was a former principal here at Saint Bernard's—along with being an alumnus and lifelong parishioner. He succumbed to cancer in 2000. We have had many members of the O'Neill family attending this school since the 1950's. A year ago, John's graduating classmates began a drive to raise funds to refurbish our high school library and rename it in his memory. Last winter at our major school fundraiser, the Bulldog Benefit, additional funds were raised for this effort. The work to refurbish the library was completed over the summer and on October 10 around 75 of John’s family and friends came out to dedicate the library. It was a wonderful evening filled with memories and stories of how John touched the lives of many. Through this library, John’s memory and his love for literacy will live on for generations to come. Funds are still needed to complete this project, if you would like to make a donation please contact the Development Department at 651-489-1338.
