A: Your financial support of Saint Bernard’s Annual Fund Campaign provides necessary funds for basic school operational expenses including tuition scholarships.
Q: Why not use tuition only?
A: Tuition covers only a portion of the true cost of a Saint Bernard’s education and try to keep costs to a minimum. In addition, besides financial aid, over 50 percent of our students need additional financial assistance in the form of scholarship aid.
Q: Who contributes to annual giving?
A: Many people including alumni, parents school faculty and staff and other members
of our community.
Q: If I can only make a small gift will it make a difference?
A: Absolutely! The size of your gift is equally important as your support.
Q: How do I make a gift?
A: You may contribute anytime throughout the year by simply mailing a check to the development office at 170 Rose Ave. W., Saint Paul, MN 55117 or you may want to respond to our annual fundraising appeal that is mailed in the fall. Many individuals choose to make their payment over several years to help with our long-term financial planning.You can even donate online through this website.

A: By entering credit card information through our secure donation website you can give money to the school quickly and easily. We want to stress that this is a safe, secure way to donate money to Saint Bernard's.
Q: How do Saint Bernard’s students receive tuition assistance?
A: In many ways, such as:
- Archdiocesan Grants: Students may receive up to $1,000 based on family financial need as determined by the Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS). These grants are available to students grades 9-12 only.
- Beacon of Hope: Students receive grants directly from Saint Bernard’s based on financial need beyond what can be met through Archdiocesan grants. These grants are available to all students.
- Scholarships: Students may receive tuition help through scholarship funds created by individual donors or groups such as:
- Alliss Fund
- Catholic Community Foundation Scholarship Fund
- John O’Neill Scholarship Fund
- President’s Scholarship Fund
- Bernard A. Preiner Memorial Fund
- Endowments: Endowed funds ensure the long-term viability of Saint Bernard’s School. The principle of these funds is left to mature and grow and only a portion of the interest is used. Students may receive tuition assistance through endowed funds created by individual donors or groups such as:
- Marie Tschida Pranke Fund
- Sheehan Fund
