"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up."

How true! When students learn about art here, they hear stories about different artists and see how many different styles there are in the world! They discover that not one style is "right," nor is another "wrong." They may prefer one style over another but all are acceptable. That is also the ground rule for artwork produced here. Think outside the box and create your own style! We also learn about the elements and principles of art and incorporate them into our own creations.

Students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade experience art once a week. Middle School students have art for at least one six week period four days a week. It is my goal to not only awaken the artist in every student here, but to have them continue to remain an artist or have a foundation of art as they grow.
